A look at what I’ve got my eye on for the holidays!
Whether you are treating yourself to something special or looking for a loved one this holiday season, I’ve got you covered with these beauty products!
I swear I have just as much fun putting together my holiday wishlist as my kids do! There have been so many new products coming out that I can barely keep up. Some of the products on my list are ones I have been loving for quite some time (and I’m close to running out of ? ) while others I have been dying to try!
Before I get into these products I have to mention Sephora’s Loyalty Reward promotion that begins December 2nd! You really don’t want to miss out on these savings if you plan to buy any beauty items in the near future! If you are not already a member of Sephora’s loyalty program then sign up here now! From December 2nd through the 13th “Beauty Insiders” receive $15 off a $50 purchase, “VIB’s” receive $20 off $50, and “VIB Rouge” receive $25 off $50! I am sure we all know how easy it is to spend $50 at Sephora so why not take advantage of this promo especially with the holidays approaching!
Now lets get to the good stuff, shall we?
I’m pretty sure I had heart palpitations the first time I laid eyes on Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette. I own just about every eye palette ABH has come out with because I love the formula of her shadows. These warm colors speak to me- nope, they sing. The only reason I haven’t pulled the trigger on this palette yet is because I just bought the Mario Master palette by ABH. I had to prioritize. The Modern Renaissance palette is permanent and the Mario palette is limited edition. I know what you may be thinking. Amanda, why didn’t you just buy both?! I purchased the Mario palette during Sephora’s 20% off Rouge event a little while back and had to stock up on my skin care products that, unfortunately for me, are not the most inexpensive of items. So moral of the story? I like being married and the thought of adding one more thing to my grand total that day probably wouldn’t have gone over well with the hubs. I’m just over here trying to keep the peace! I will tell you this though, Modern Renaissance will be mine during this promo!
I have been using the same fragrance now for awhile and have been looking for something new. Cue YSL Mon Paris’ cute little bottle catching my eye. I legitimately smelled this perfume because I loved the packaging. I am glad I did! It is a beautiful floral scent but not overdone as it has hints of white musk and patchouli. Thankfully my husband was with me when I picked this up and fell in love because now he has a solid lock on a gift idea without me having to hear the annual “uh so babe, what are you thinking this year for Christmas?” I give him an A+ for effort. He tries; however, being discreet is NOT his forte.
I am going to keep it real with you. I have only ever bought the travel size bottle of the next product because the full size price tag hurts my soul. BUT I genuinely la-la-love this stuff. Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir is as close to a spa in a bottle that you can get. You can use this before you apply your serum or moisturizer, skin prep before your foundation, setting spray, or just as a face refresher. It is like the Gods of radiance showering your face with each spritz. I can only imagine how much more I would love this product if I had dry skin. Next time you’re in Sephora, find the tester of this product and give it a try!
I find Dyson’s Supersonic Hair Dryer very intriguing. When I originally saw this on the Sephora website I thought, “wow this looks really lightweight and compact” which is generally the opposite of most hair dryers. However, I glanced over at the price and there was NO WAY I would pay that much for a blow dryer. Then I started reading some reviews. Women claiming that they have dried their whole head of thick curly hair in, wait for it- UNDER TEN MINUTES. I have very little time to do my hair because well, kids. This got me back on the “okay, maybe I do need this product” bus. I have not purchased it and still do not know if I will, the price being my main deterrent, but putting it on my wishlist won’t hurt right?
I have tried many different makeup removers over the years from the drugstore and department stores but I finally found “the one.” I received this as a gift several months ago from my mother-in-law and I have been hooked ever since! Bobbi Brown Instant Long-Wear Makeup Remover removes my eye makeup and lip products (especially great for those stubborn liquid lipsticks!) so quickly. I shake the product before using it, put some remover on a cotton ball, and let it rest on my eye for a moment to let the product start to breakdown my mascara and liner. I wear false lashes frequently and the glue can be a pain to remove from your lash line completely. Not anymore! This stuff is amazing and I don’t see it being replaced for me anytime soon!
I am just going to keep telling myself “you don’t need this product” to see if it helps me not buy it. I may not need it but I do really want it so it is on my list! The Make Up For Ever Pro Light Fusion Color 2 Golden is just so pretty! I have the other color it comes in (Color 1 Golden Pink) and it is beautiful. I have a slight obsession with highlighters and this formula doesn’t disappoint. The only reason I purchased the other color is because I am paler now that we have entered the colder months here in New England. If you have a medium/dark skin tone the Color 2 Gold would be perfect! I want to be prepared with this already in my inventory once the summer sun makes its return! ?
Sticking with the brand Make Up For Ever, their Aqua XL waterproof eyeliner in M-16 (and really every other color to be honest) is next on my list. I currently have 4 of these pencils already and I use them all the time. They are super creamy and they stay put which is everything I look for in an eye pencil. I love the way a white pencil looks in my water line and knowing how much I love the formula of these pencils, it only makes sense that I buy the white one too, no?
Last but certainly not least. Huda Beauty Eye Shadow Palette Rose Gold Edition just looks like perfection. I saw this online and thought “I must swatch these shadows.” There are some similarities with the berry shades in this palette to the ones in ABH Modern Renaissance but you also get some super intense shimmer shades, neutral browns, and a staple black shadow as well. The price point is great at $65, making each shadow’s cost at just over $3.50 each. The only bummer about this product is it is currently sold out but I will stalk the Sephora website as well as sign up for the email notification of when it is back in stock.
Now it’s your turn! Help me add to my wishlist by telling me what is on yours!
